I hav black straight hair (im an asian)

an inch or two below my shoulder and shorter layers are near my chin.

What color highlights would b the best for me???

i wanna do it at home but not sure what to use...

first of all, don't listen to the others, i have done most shades on my own hair, so i know a thing or two.

second of all, go for colours that will suit your skin tone AND your hair tone. as you described yourself, try deep colours, such as midnight blue, deep red, emerald green, amethyst or deep purple. if you absolutely must go with pale colours as a stark contrast, try a grey-blonde or brown-blonde/hazel colour. i would not go for blonde or platinum white/blonde.

third, take a close friend with you to go shopping for home diy colours. they can give you some good advice and help you do the colour. another tip would be to buy two of each colour you want to try, and wash outs first before doing permanent colours. that way, if you dont like the colour, you can just wash it out within a few days, otherwise you will be stuck with it for weeks.

well, i dyed my hair to light reddish/brown color. it was pretty awesome. I wouldnt suggest you dye it blonde because theres just too many and you will just look like everyone else. so be unique :)

Really, almost anything! If you want something subtle, just to play it up, go with dark brown. If you want it a little more "out there" you could do light brown or blonde.
