Hair coloring, please help!?

i have really light blonde hair with highlights, and i wanted to experiment with it and see what it looked like a dark shade of brown, however i wanted to be able to wash this color out and be back to my starting color.. i bought nautual instincts non-permanent color which says it washes out in 28 shampoos, but since it's such a drastic change from light blonde to brown, i wanted to know if the color will completely wash out after a month, or if it's going to ruin my color now.

It will stain your hair. When it eventually washes out it will probably be a dark blonde so you could just get blonde highlights again, that would look nice =)

If you colored your hair brown over your highlights, you aren't gonna get those highlights back. This is because highlighting isn't permanent, and if you put a color over them, the hair will grow out faster, plus you already died over it, making your hair look a new color, killing the other color.

The best thing to do would be call the 800 number on the package (look the number up online if you no longer have the box). Each company has who they call "color specialists" and you can explain to them what you did and what you would like. They usually have solutions for you. Good luck! (once you hair grows out completely, you willhave your natural color, but that can take months or years depending on your hair length)

Never buy "BOX" hair Color.....there is no way they can put the two proper ingredients in that box.....

that will correctly work for everyone that purchases it....

There is a way to do it at home...

by purchasing the color and developer separate...

In my years in the Salon I can't tell you how many Women I have had to do "COLOR CORRECTION" on that have used so called "Natural Instincts...." that is one of the worst....

I've never been able to say that before ...

BOXED hair color kits should be banned as "false advertising.

go swimming in chlorinated pools,
