I know how to highlight hair with a cap, I need pictures to demonstrate how to highlight using foils

got no pictures but why not go to the salon and watch someone getting their hair done then go home and copy it. just be sure you put the foil on you're hair before putting the peroxide on and get it as even as you can so it's not blotchy

New mom w/highlighted hair w/long roots and grey. i cant go to the salon -- what should i do?

Get an All over colour from the chemist :D

New mom w/highlighted hair w/long roots and grey. i cant go to the salon -- what should i do?

dye it all one color. some dyes like Feria have a more multi-dimensional color to them, if you want a bit more depth to your color.

or, try one of those color glosses -- i tried one by... i think it was called paul freedman? i bought it at walmart. it works very nicely, and it's a subtle look, but pretty and noticeable! good luck!

How do i get my brunette hair blonde?

bleaching your hair would work. but i suggest seeing a professional hairstylist for this, since bleaching your hair is very damaging, even more so if not done correctly

How do i get my brunette hair blonde?

To go from brown to blonde you will need to bleach your hair and since your hair is chemically treated you will need to use a bleach that is on the scalp bleach and that is safe to use on color treated hair. Go to your local beauty supply and ask the salesperson there for what bleach suits you the salesperson there will examine your hair and give you the right products to go blonde the bleaching products will be a 20 volume developer 2 blue powder packets and lightening creme and a bottle or a bowl. This is will all cost around $20. Section Your hair into 4 sections and apply the bleach to only the non-highlighted parts process until your hair has reached a pale yellow for which is about an hour to an hour and a half to speed up the process use a hair dryer while the bleach is on your hair shampoo rinse and condition within no time you will have the bleached blonde look you have always dreamed about. Take Care!

How do i get my brunette hair blonde?

Go to a salon. If you use the wrong things you run the risk of turning your hair orange and you will end up at the salon anyways. If you go that light you should try to do your roots about every three weeks or it will look bad.

How do i get my brunette hair blonde?

i suggest puting in more blonde highlights, all slightly different shades to give it a natural look. then keep puting in more highlights until its gone. it will look similar to the teenage disney hannah montanna wig:http://l.yimg.com/img.tv.yahoo.com/tv/us... although you can do this part by yourself you will need to make a list of the products used and later when your roots show, take the list to your hairdresser for her to match it up.

How do i get my brunette hair blonde?

dont do it, us dark brown haired girls are even more fabulous than any fake blonde, why not see the beautician about a demi-permanent color, lighten, highlight, tone. Fake blondes look fake, real brunettes[us] are real beauties that have no need to hide behind bleach!!!!!!! plus do you wanna have roots showing? eeewwww

Taking care of coloured hair?

I have blonde highlighted hair and i currently dont have any special heat protectors for when i straighten it. Can you tell me which products i should buy to keep my hair healthy looking and the colour fresh? I straighten my hair nearly every day and blow dry it about 3 times a week. Also, any other products that you recommend using on coloured hair to keep the colour from fading.

Thanks.

Taking care of coloured hair?

a good shampoo for that is Vive

The most important thing is to get a heat tamer. You put this on your hair right b4 you straighten it. Like tressemme instant heat tamer or Chi hair protectant

Taking care of coloured hair?

I like biosilk for flat ironing. You can use it wet or dry and it is a silicon based product to reduse heat and damage. Pureology and Kerestase color treatment shampoo and conditioners work well.

I have some blonde highlights. Can I add semi permanent choc lowlights?

I'd like to keep the blonde but want to get rid of it for a while. Does this work or would semi turn out permanent on highlighted hair?

I have some blonde highlights. Can I add semi permanent choc lowlights?

It works. I had it done a couple of months ago. It's a technique called carmelizing, and it uses both highlights and lowlights. I've had blonde highlights for a long time, and I got lowlights added, that were semi-permanent. They've faded now, but it looks really good. I recommend it!

I have highlighted hair and want to go back to my original brunette?

Will i be ok dying from the shop? my roots are bad now, dont want to wait for a hairdresser appointment?

I have highlighted hair and want to go back to my original brunette?

depending on how blonde your highlights are , when you put a darker color over them they most likely will fade into a muddy green color, I really recommend waiting and talking to a professional colorist.

I have highlighted hair and want to go back to my original brunette?

i am sure you look good what ever colour

I have highlighted hair and want to go back to my original brunette?

i wouldn't get the dyes from the store. I think that would totally wreck the quality of your hair and maybe mess with the color too. I don't think you'll get one conformed color. since you have highlights you'll have brown and then lighter shades of brown. You'll be best off waiting to get a consult from a hair dresser.

I have highlighted hair and want to go back to my original brunette?

If you want to undo the highlights, just shampoo your hair 3 times each time you shower. (Use 3 different kinds). The highlights will fade out. If not, go ahead and use the kind from the store. Just make sure you have the right color.

I have highlighted hair and want to go back to my original brunette?

when i put blue highlights in my hair, I needed to dye it back to black once school started again... and i used the boxed dye... i'm sure you'll be fine if you use a boxed dye... just don't get something lighter than your hair, cause then you'll have to bleach it then dye it.

I have highlighted hair and want to go back to my original brunette?

i would just go to the store and by the hair dye and you do it your self instead of waisting money on a hair dresser by the way i just started yahoo answers and i added you to my contact

I have highlighted hair and want to go back to my original brunette?

My mom is a hair colorist, so growing up around it I know alot. Um first of all Don't shampoo your hair 3 times each time, It will just dry it out. I wouldn't dye it myself cause the highlights will still be a different color, just darker. If you go to the salon they know how to get it all one color. And if you still want to try it at home, remember that color is maybe like $80-$90 but corrective color can be like $300. So I wouldn't chance it..

I have highlighted hair and want to go back to my original brunette?

Wait and go to the hairdressers

I have highlighted hair and want to go back to my original brunette?

Yeah most likely, i die my hair at home, w. clarion, it worked really well

I have highlighted hair and want to go back to my original brunette?

Yes, you can correct your color. But be sure to choose a semi-permanent color. It is best to select a color that is 1 shade lighter than your natural color. Most semi color will only coat the hair shaft. You are not applying a permanent color, so you will not be lifting or lightening the color. Color companies have made coloring your hair at home almost too easy. Follow the direction to the letter. After the color has been removed, condition your hair with a good moisturizer, not a conditioner, A Moisturizer, they do 2 different things. Remember, choose a semi-permanent color. And choose a golden or gold base, avoid ash tones. They have a tendency to get very dark and dull. A golden color will not get too dark and turn out a much more appealing color in the end.

I have highlighted hair and want to go back to my original brunette?

best thing to do is put some ketch-up on your hair 1st and then leave it for 20 Min's wash it off then put your brunette colour on that will stop it going green!! or you can buy a hair dye that covers grey hair that will stop it going green as well.

experience

p.s the ketch-up does sound silly but it does work!

I have highlighted hair and want to go back to my original brunette?

you could do it yourself but you will still get a two tone affect with the high-lights
