Stop OIly Hair?

Hello, I know there are tons of questions out there about oily hair, and I read quite a few, but most of them talk about shampoo or the color of hair, so I wanted to ask my own.

I have dark blond hair with highlights. I wash my hair every morning with clarifying shampoo. I change my shampoos after almost every bottle. So, I let my hair dry with the heat and blow dry it. Either way, but noon my hair is super oily underneath. I can't pull it back and feel comfortable about it. I'm not exaggerating, I actually get comments on it.

So, what am I doing wrong? What can I do to make this not happen. I've read about baby power, blow drying, switching shampoos, and making sure I wash it out thoroughly. I do the last three.

Any REAL answers would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The results your experiencing all indicate that the product you are using is wrong for your hair.

First off you should only use a claryfying shampoo once a week and use quality hair products as you don't need to change them out all the time. The clarifying shampoo on a weekly basis will help. I would almost guess your trying too hard....

I have my favorite products and I think you would be happy with it....

I know that your hair probably feels heavy and unmanagable

The best Clarifying products are from JOICO, below I have given you a link and a couple places you can get it from. Unfortunately the online store

(I have bought there and I have been so happy). doesn't carry the clarifying products.

Any salon that sells Joico and I am sure walmart salons sell it, and its worth the price.

The clarifying products by Joico are called "RESOLVE" AND THE CONDITIONER IS CALLED "PHINE". These products not only combat hard water but other pollutants and other styling products left in the hair.

My favorite product to combat oily hair is "JOICO

BIOJOBA SHAMPOO AND LITE CONDITIONER". The problem lies in the oil glands of the scalp and Biojoba corrects this problem and the lite conditioner is simply a lightweight conditioner that won't weigh your hair down.

Personally, I use Joico KPAK shampoo, conditioner and resconstructor once a week. (Walmart and Rite Aid sometimes has it as well as http://salonsavings.com/joico/ ) The online store has the best prices for the above products...

The difference between pro and supermarket shampoo's lies in the ph level as well as it being concentrated, using less is more, distributing through your hands first using a quarter size amount is all you need, I only have to buy twice a year.

The smoothing balm and styling elixer are awesome as well.

Leave in conditioners, INTEGRITY or Stregnthing Tonic as will not make your hair oily as they are applied before styling products and I know you will amaze you at the difference.

I hope this helps

here's the trick. really, this might sound nuts, but it helped me. i had the same problem, and what i did was i didnt wash it every day...i switched to 2 days between washes. this way, the hair follicles get used to that and they produce less natural oils. its true, and it does work

also, dont run your fingers through it. that leaves oils on your hands in the hair, not to mention it releases the oil deep down.

-hope that helps!
