Vibrant hair?

I have lightish-medium brown hair, that used to have natural highlights, but lately theyt've seemed to have faded. If you look for them you can find them, but I still want them back to being noticable! I don't want to dye my hair(or highlights) but, is there any products(not to expensive) or home-remidies I can try?!? I use shampoo and conditioner, and some other products for styling. Please!

Try Lemon Juice or Chamomile.

If you put lemon juice in your wet hair and sit out in the sun, it will lighten up with natural high lights.

Henna isn't too expensive and is a safe and natural alternative to chemical highlights. There are only a couple color choices, but they wont damage your hair and make it shinier and healthier.

Only use it as highlights, and DO NOT use chemical hair color or perm/relaxer on your hair after because it WILL melt your hair (it turns to a mushy straw-like texture %26amp; its not pretty).

You have to make sure its all grown out or faded away, which takes about 6 months.

You could also use lemon juice:

Squeeze half a lemon into your condtioner (after washing obviously) and smooth it all over your hair, roots and all. Wrap your head in a hot (wet) towel and let it sink in for about 20 minutes. Rinse it out, but dont do this two days in a row because it will dry out your hair. You may need to repeat it several times per week.

John frieda Color glaze ( temporary color enhancer) works great on my dark brown hair and it smells great too (mmm coffee and chocolate), but you need to use a lot very often to see results quickly. And they just got the new clear shine- if you dont want color.

Good Luck!

There are several home remedies you can use to make your hair shiny and vibrant:

After washing your hair, use beer or tea for your final rinse. (this is a very old and very effective home remedy).

Use a few tsps of lemon juice or cider vinegar and water for your final rinse.

Use a small amount of baking soda with your shampoo when you wash your hair.

Deep condition your hair with 1/2 cup of mayonnaise for 15 minutes and wash out.
