before i had my hair bleached %26amp; highlighted (foil), my hair was virgin and black. now it is golden-brown with blondish highlights. my roots are starting to show (it's been about 8 weeks), so i need it touched up, but i also want my overall color to be a little bit lighter. how do i go about doing that? can i get my hair bleached lighter and get a touchup as well??? or will lightening damage it more?
Hair help!?
You can lighten it as well as touch it up at the same time. Tell your stylist to touch up the regrowth but take every third foil all the way through. It will lighten more of your natural as well as lighten the highlights a shade or two lighter. It won't go too light, but give you a few more highlights.
Anytime you lighten there is damage, but if done correctly the damage will be minimal.
Hair help!?
lightening your hair will always damage your hair no matter what, but it helps if you dont brush your hair before hand, always comb it, the best way i found before i had my cosmo lisence was to go to like a Sally beauty supply and get a tub of powder bleach such as, purewhite, kalidacolors, or bw2, and mix it with a 40 volume creme developer, leave it on for the maximum time it says on the tub, it worked for me, my hair is super blonde, just check how its processing while its in to get the exact color you want.. good luck
